We have moved, updated and renovated. Come experience the new Yummy House Sarasota on May 4th, when we have our grand opening in Sarasota.

Yummy House South is now open on Dale Mabry, offering South Tampa a new experience for traditional authentic Chinese cuisine.

We consistently have good reviews with Google Review, and Yelp. Our hard work seems to be paying off. We were just announced as Tampa Bay Area’s finest Chinese Restaurant by Yelp reviewers. We are honored, and here is how we are going to take it from here…..
We are now offering discounts to first responders and active military at all Florida Yummy House Locations. Discounts apply to those in uniform, and those who have an active military ID, or first-responder ID badge.
Come in for Dim Sum, and try our new noodle bar. We are open the same hours as before, but we have a new larger location to serve more customers.
We have a deep commitment to authenticity at Yummy House, always looking to improve our quality, delivery, and grow our customer base. If you haven’t tried Yummy House, please do, and let us know what you think!
Notice: New location starting April 1st, 2016:
We are moving to a larger location to better serve our customers in Gainesville. The new address is:

Yummy House Tampa on Waters Ave. is our oldest location, but we’ve learned a lot through the years. We have opened successful restaurants in Ocala, Orlando, Gainesville, and Sarasota. Offering authentic Cantonese cuisine as well as Dim Sum at these other locations has built a loyal and strong customer base, enough that it’s time focus back on our first, and original location. We are very thankful for our loyal customers, and those who tell a friend to try “Yummy House in Tampa” for the first time.
There is always a lot to learn in the restaurant business, but offering a consistently great product, remaining passionate about customers and the food they eat will always be a recipe for success, and that is the way it will stay.
John Zhao, 35, says he’s been in the restaurant business for 24 years. Not legally he hasn’t, but he started working at a tender age in restaurant kitchens in Belize, going on to debut Yummy House on Waters Avenue in Tampa in 2008 at the age of 28.
In August, he aims to unveil something all new: the Tampa Bay area’s first authentic pan-Asian noodle house. Yummy Bowl and Asian Noodle Bar will follow a Chipotle-like model: Pick your noodles (Korean, Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese), pick your ingredients (vegetables, chicken, beef or seafood) and then select your broth.
Yummy House authentic Chinese restaurants have been successful in Tampa, Sarasota, Gainesville, and Ocala. We are opening our newest location in Orlando the second week of June.
John Zhoa also was urged by friends here to look at Ocala as a site for another of his Yummy House Chinese restaurants.
He finally did, and liked what he saw. With his partner Tommy Tang, he opened the Yummy House at Thanksgiving.
Coming up with 12 (and only 12) dining recommendations for 2015 was a tough homework assignment. Unless you’ve been stranded on a deserted island for the past couple of years, you already know who the “cool kids” on the block are, and anyone with even the most remote interest in the Tampa Bay dining scene is familiar with our iconic epicurean jewels. We have decent national chains aplenty, but big chain restaurant dining of any caliber is simply not my preferred experience.

A friend maintains that any adult using the word “yummy” is being childish.
So, what’s a dining columnist to do? After all, I’m talking about the Yummy House that’s coming to Ocala. Not only coming to Ocala, but — barring any last-minute glitches — will be open Friday. I’m figuring since this is a proper noun, it’s OK ...
Yummy House Ocala, is now open!
3500 SW College Road
Ocala Florida 34474

Yummy House wins Best of the Bay - Best Chinese Restaurant, in the food and drink category for the 4th year in a row.
Why: In high season, the newish Sarasota location has snowbirds lined up around the block. At the fancier bistro location on Hillsborough Avenue the crowds can get thick, but it’s at the original Waters spot where your mettle may truly be tested. Every table full, I’ve been told by a manager, “We’re full, just go home,” only to persevere out in the rain until a table opened up so I could get my salt and pepper tofu, seafood hot and sour soup and Hong Kong-style roast duck.
What to order: Mix it up with decadent (steamed whole fish with black bean sauce or sizzling honey pepper scallops) and healthy (snow pea tips or other Chinese greens). And when in doubt, ask for guidance.
Yummy House China Bistro opened Friday at 7605 Newberry Road, the former KFC location that last housed the short-lived Asian Cafe.
Yummy House China Bistro was voted best resteraunt for an authentic meal by TBO.com.
